Jordan is situated in Middle East, northwest of Saudi Arabia. The country is bordered by Syria on the north, by Iraq on the east, and by Saudi Arabia on the east and south. Jordan is landlocked country. It has only one way to the sea (the Gulf of Aqaba provides access to the Red Sea). The highlands of Jordan separate the Jordan Valley from the plains of the eastern desert. Jordan has a Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers and cool, wet winters. The rainy season begins in November and lasts till April.
